[Request] Fix for YouTube app on iOS 9.3.5

[SOLVED] Hey everyone! Today the YouTube app on iOS 9.3.5 started showing a message in which it asks for it to be updated in order to use it. Is there any fix for this? I saw that it was fixable on iOS 7 and such others, so it might be possible?

PS: I do know this subreddit is for 8.4.1 and below but I think this post would be useless in the main jailbreak one and iOS 9 is pretty much legacy by now

I find a solution in another post on reddit. After jailbreaking your ipad3,download Cydia and Filza, locate at /var/containers/Bundle/Application/Youtube/YouTube.app/info.plist, and then alter the value of CFBundleVersion and CFBundleShortVersionString to 14.10。 And in order to avoid YouTube app crashes,you need to download Youtupia on Cydia.

I have an iPad 3 on iOS 9.3.5 and YouTube works fine. Just tried out another video. I use App Admin to downgrade the app. Go to the App Store, search for YouTube and choose Downgrade. Click the most recent version and it will prompt you to downgrade to the latest compatible version.

Thanks for the response. I do have the latest available version for iOS 9.3.5 and that one pop-up only started showing up today. I did end up fixing it by installing the DisableYouTubeUpdates tweak! :)

Man, can you provide me with the latest compatible YouTube version that works on Ipad IOS 9.3.5? I tried to downgrade to 15.02.1 but problem not solved :(

Unfortunately, I don't think so. The pop-up doesn't appear right away so if you open a video quickly it won't bother you while you're playing it...

I have the iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5. Only use it for youtube and have that youtube stupid message. It isn't jailbreak...

Hey! You basically have to install 3UTools on your computer, connect your iPad to it and run the jailbreak tab. I also explained how the fix works somewhere in this thread :)

I have done all steps but when YT opens I get "Error loading, tap to retry" :(

Anyone knows how to fix this? Tried already reinstalling several times, even different versions.

I think that's all. YouTube won't work on ios 9.3.5. I have the same problem since April 2nd 2021

Yes, I have the same problem since a week or two. The app simply doesn't load anything anymore.

The solution is to have a jailbroken IOS 9 then install iFiles on your device. After which you just have to follow this guide https://youtu.be/9C6-MsCotZA , this worked perfectly for me on my Ipad 3 with IOS 9.3.6.
